Erin Maxwell graduated from The Swedish Institute of Massage in 1998. She went on to immediately open a private practice in a Chiropractic office in Hudson, NY where she worked for 15 years. Erin then moved her practice to Chatham, NY. Alongside her practice of Swedish/deep tissue massage, Erin became certified in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) in 2001. She began studying ATMAT since 1999 with Rosita Arvigo who originally learned this work from the traditional Belizean healer and shaman Don Elijio Panti. Rosita felt this work was a missing link in people's healing journeys and has spent many years sharing it with the world. Erin is also certified in ATMAT for pregnancy support. Erin is also certified in Lymphatic Drainage Massage which is wonderful for inflammation and to boost the immune system. She lives in Chatham with her husband and four children. She offers Maya Abdominal Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Swedish Massage, and Prenatal and Postpartum Massage at Chatham Bodywork Collective.
