Holistic Resources Directory
Provided here is a free directory we’ve compiled of local healing arts practitioners and businesses in Northern Columbia County, NY and some surrounding MA areas.
In our view of healing arts we include a wide range of supportive therapies including nature based practices, farms, creative arts, and movement based services as well as alternative health centers and practitioners of alternative health.
We have not necessarily visited businesses and practitioners listed here, so we can not personally vouch for the quality of their craft.
If you’ve happened upon this page and don’t know who we are, Twin Wolves Healing Arts is an alternative health community that offers sauna, cold plunge, PEMF mat, red light therapy and halotherapy along with community events, workshops and classes as well as rooms rented out to practitioners of the healing arts. Head on over to our home page.

The Farmscape Ecology Program was founded in 2003 as a small research and outreach program dedicated to encouraging an informed compassion for place.
We do this by exploring the relationship between human culture and the rural, semi-agricultural landscape of Columbia County.
Our Program includes a core staff comprised of a botanist, social scientist, and a wildlife ecologist. Together with technicians, interns and volunteers, we do participatory research on aspects of the County’s ecology, history and culture with the goal of stimulating their exploration and building love and knowledge of this area. We share our knowledge and findings widely through public ecology walks, presentations, local publications, electronic media, and a variety of facilitated discussions and gatherings.

Since 2012, Patricia has focused her expertise on the natural prevention of breast cancer. She is a professional advocate for the promotion of radiation-free thermography.
Her public seminars and lectures are designed to educate women about the serious health risks of environmental toxins and endocrinal disruptors. Her natural protocols, including diet, supplementation and lifestyle changes, have revealed extraordinary results that have been later visibly confirmed by thermographic imaging.

In addition to 1:1 naturopathic medical visits, I offer online body literacy courses centered around the various phases of reproductive health care — menstrual health, fertility & preconception care, holistic pregnancy support, postpartum wellness, and perimenopause.
My practice is grounded firmly in the naturopathic principles of addressing the root cause of disease and working to support the natural healing process. I strongly emphasize establishing good foundational health with diet and lifestyle, while using plant and energy medicines to stimulate the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems and gently direct the body towards homeostasis. As an integrative provider, I blend evidence-based medicine with traditional and energetic practices. Modalities that I frequently use include herbal medicine, homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage, clinical nutrition, flower essences, and hydrotherapy.

The Alexander Technique (AT) was developed by F.M. Alexander over a hundred years ago, and has been practiced ever since by musicians, actors, vocalists and everyday people seeking non-invasive pain relief and improved posture, balance, and well-being. It is an educational discipline based on Alexander’s idea that the relationship between your head and your spine directly affects your overall health. AT teaches self awareness skills so you can recognize where you hold too much tension and how this tension translates into habits that you may think are just part of who you are.
BECKY SANDLER, M.AmSAT, teaches private and group Alexander Technique lessons in midtown Manhattan, Hudson, NY, and online. On faculty at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she teaches Alexander Technique as part of the 1st year core curriculum to actors.

Courtney Tribble, LMT - Golden Snail
Massage Therapy + Energy Work
Courtney Tribble has been a licensed massage therapist since the Fall of 2003. She received her education at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY, before moving to Columbia County to start a small organic farm with her husband.
Courtney believes massage is a wonderful tool for stress relief, as it creates needed time and space for one to let go of their thoughts and move into the realm of the body.
She practices integrative massage, interweaving slow, deeper myofascial/connective tissue therapies with circulatory-enhancing Swedish massage. This combination lends great relief to chronically sore muscles and accumulated tension.

What is a Shamanic Practitioner? They are one who bridge the seen and unseen worlds to bring healing, guidance and balance. Not necessarily belonging to any one tradition, they work in harmony with nature and spirit allies – like power animals, ancestors and elemental forces to restore balance to individuals and communities. A Shamanic Practitioner can use tools such as drums, rattles, breath, voice, feathers, stones and the teachings of the Medicine Wheel to track energy. This tracking shows the practitioner where a person’s energy is blocked or fragmented and help retrieve lost soul parts, clear attatchments and restore wholeness. The heart of their work is about connection – to self, others, the Earth and the web of life. They are not the ones doing the healing, but act as intermediator to bring the client back to their own power and innate healing abilites. They walk their path with high ethics and integrity, always working for the highest good of all.
Sara became interested in massage via 15 years as a runner and vegetable farmer. She is passionate about helping athletes and those whose jobs require feats of athleticism (and yes, that includes desk jobs: some tiny muscles really go above and beyond when we have to be on a computer!) She also loves helping parents in the prenatal and postnatal periods.
Knowing how intertwined our bodies and minds are, Sara creates a time and space where clients can relax and breathe while she works with tissue and the nervous system to encourage healing.
She offers Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, and Pre-and Post-natal Massage.
